Ireland: Secret Of Kells Exhibition Opening April 8th

It's no secret that we love Cartoon Saloon's work here on AFA. If you're lucky enough to live in their native Ireland then you'll be able to check out an exhibition based on their excellent Oscar-nominated The Secret Of Kells, starting from next week! We're not jealous at all, honestly...

Toradh Gallery in Ashbourne, County Meath will be hosting the exhibition from April 8th until the 28th.  It will feature 16 limited edition prints from the film, hand-picked by co-director Tomm Moore and his team. What's more the opening will be marked with a special gala evening at the gallery- and Kells co-director- and Cartoon Saloon co-founder- Nora Twomey will be there.  Animations produced by young local film-makers will be shown, and accompanied by a talk from Twomey herself.

The evening will celebrate the launch of ‘The Secret of Kells’ exhibition with a screening of works created by young film makers at recent film making and stop motion workshops. Nora Twomey, co-director of Oscar nominated The Secret of Kells and Director of the award winning film From Darkness and Cúilín Dualach will speak on the night, followed by a screening of the short film Cúilín Dualach.
