Web Animation Watch: Tokyo Ghostbusters, Bee and Puppycat and more

Thanks to the new digital frontier of the internet, there's more animation available than ever before. But with so much material out there in this web-wild-west, how are you supposed to know what's worth your precious time? That's where we come in. Welcome to the first Web Animation Watch of 2015!

People all over the web are celebrating the culture of the Land Of The Rising Sun with "Japan-Uary". Web animators are no different, so this week's WAW has a distinctly Japanese flavour.

Remember the series that turned Harry Potter and Star Wars into 1980s style anime? The supremely talented Shamoozal is back, this time giving Ghostbusters the 90's anime treatment. It's gloriously authentic and packed with references for fans of retro anime.

Fox's Animation Domination High-Def (ADHD) is celebrating Japan-uary with anime-inspired parodies.  First up is Schoolgirl Crush 2: Mechattraction. If you know your anime, it'll certainly bring back some memories..

If there's one Web Series with an undeniable anime influence it has to be the wonderful Bee and Puppycat. The most recent two episodes are now available and have been edited into one for your convenience. And it's just as loveable and surreal as ever.

Finally this week, Mashed is here with something for the videogame fans. Metal Gear Solid's hero Snake is here with his "most exciting mission yet". Animated by Red Minus.
