Now On Netflix: 'Mind Game', 'Genius Party', 'Puffin Rock' and more

It's been a while since we've updated you of the latest animated additions to the world's most successful subscription video streaming site, but there's been some major titles added this week. Perhaps one of the most surprising additions for some time, among these are a number of anime movies produced by the acclaimed Studio 4C.

Genius Party and Genius Party Beyond are a pair of anthology features that have been previously unavailable in English, aside from a few festival screenings and an Australian DVD release.  They have therefore become something of a holy grail for many animation fans, so the fact that they are finally so easily accessible is an extremely welcome surprise. Mind Game, an acclaimed 2004 feature from the now much better known Masaaki Yuasa was in the same boat. Alongside 2001's Princess Arete, all four are available on Netflix in all English-speaking (ie US, UK, Canada, Ireland and Australia and New Zealand) and Latin American regions.

Also available to Netflix users in the US is the Cartoon Saloon series Puffin Rock. The 2d animated series may be aimed at very young audiences, but fans of the Irish studio's work will no doubt want to check it out anyway!

Also aiming very young is Aardman Animation's Timmy Time, a spin-off from the successful Shaun The Sheep TV series, featuring the adventures of the youngest member of Shaun's flock. Available in all Netflix regions.

If that's not juvenile enough for you, though don't worry, Beavis and Butt-Head Do America has also been added to the US catalogue.
