Disney's "Moana" International Teaser Trailer is Here

After the release of the official teaser trailer in June, Walt Disney Animation Studios has finally released a second sneak peek at its next film Moana, which we have been waiting a long time to see, folks.
Set in ancient Polynesia, the film follows the adventures of the titular character Moana (voiced by newcomer Auli’i Cravalho) and a wacky demigod Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson) as they navigate the wonders and dangers of the Ocean. Directed by John Musker and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid, The Princess and the Frog), this film promises to return to the classic Disney themes of magic and wonder.

And these themes are certainly reflected in the teaser trailer. Mesmerizing and touching, the new clip introduces us to an adorable baby Moana as she plays on an island beach and meets the playful and childlike spirit of the Ocean, who introduces her to the beauty that lies below its surface.

Director Ron Clements explained the significance of this magical relationship to the plot of the film. On a research trip to the Pacific Islands, he and his team discovered that the indigenous people have always regarded the Pacific Ocean as a living “person or a friend,” and the team of Disney animators hopes to convey this companionship with great efficiency (Siegel, 2016, para. 2).

Every element of this clip, from the music to the atmosphere, is executed perfectly. If it is any indication for the rest of the film, then Moana will prove to be a genuine Disney Classic.

Walt Disney’s Moana arrives November 23, 2016 in the United States and will be released on December 2, 2016 in the United Kingdom.
