'Phantom Boy' Initial US Screening List Revealed.

Phantom Boy, Alain Gagnol and Jean-Loup Felicioli's  follow-up to their Academy-award nominated A Cat In Paris is coming to North American cinemas this summer.  For their second traditionally animated feature, the French writer-director team decided to set the story not in Paris, but in New York. The story follows a young boy named Leo, suffering from Cancer and confined to hospital. However he discovers he has the ability to leave his body and explore the city streets as the mysterious Phantom Boy. With the help of a hospitalised cop, Leo uncovers a criminal plot that threatens the whole city.

This unusual blend of fantasy, adventure, noir and human drama is coming to cinemas via GKIDS (who else?), complete with a new English dub featuring the voices of Fred Armisen, Jared Padelecki and Vincent D'Onofrio. You can read AFA's review here. The film will open in New York July 15th, and LA on July 22nd, before expanding to more cinemas across the US and Canada from July 29th and throughout the summer. Check out the list of initial screening dates below. More venues may be added at a later date, check back with the official site for more.
