'Adventure Time; Islands' Mini-Series Announced
Earlier this year, we found out that Cartoon Network's hugely popular Adventure Time will come to an end following its 9th season, due to air in 2018. At the time this was announced, the Network also mentioned that as well as the regular episodes, there would also be a number of specials and mini-series on the way before the adventure comes to an end.
Adventure Time first diversified into mini-series last year with the Marceline focused Stakes. Following the success of that series, this will be followed up by Adventure Time: Islands, which will feature Finn the Human and Jake the dog starring alongside fan favourite Susan Strong. The series promises to answer the much-asked question- what happened to all the humans?
Islands will consist of eight episodes, which will air across four nights on Cartoon Network US starting January 30th 2017. If that's too long to wait though, the series will also be released on DVD, Amazon Video, iTunes and Google Play in the US from January 24th.
The opening sequence has been released online, which you can check out below.
