'Dragon Ball Super' and Dragon Ball Z Movies Coming to UK DVD/Blu-Ray This October

The Dragon Ball franchise never really went away but has really had something of a resurgence in recent years. Following the success of the recent Dragon Ball Z movies, came the announcement of a continuation of the series with Dragon Ball Super in 2015. Although (as with those movies) not directly based on Akira Toriyama's original manga, it would continue the spirit of the saga and feature characters and scenarios devised by Toriyama himself.

Manga Entertainment have now announced that the new series will be coming to DVD and Blu-Ray in the UK starting this October. The release will take the form of half season box-sets, with the first (episodes 1-13) hitting shelves October 30. The second box-set will arrive January 29, 2018. This will be fans in the UK's first opportunity to see the series with Funimation's English dub.

Taking things a bit more old-school, the Manga will also release a number of the older Dragon Ball Z movies as double-pack Blu-Ray and DVD Double Play Editions. First up will be Collection One featuring Dead Zone and The World's Strongest, available from October 23. Collection Two will include The Tree Of Might and Lord Slug, and will be released later in 2017, alongside Collection Three ( Cooler's Revenge/Return Of Cooler). More collections are planned for 2018.
