The Wind Rises Opens In US Cinemas

February 21st 2014 marks the much anticipated US release of Hayao Miyazaki's The Wind Rises. Miyazaki's latest opus- which will reportedly be his final feature- opens at select locations from today, opening wide across North America on the 28th.

Miyazaki's swan-song opened in Japan last year to largely positive reviews and big box office and has already been nominated for an Oscar. The English-language version is being distributed by Walt Disney Pictures, and will be showing in both original Japanese language and dubbed versions. The dub version features the vocal talents of among other Joseph Gordon Levitt and Werner Herzog. The film will open in the UK this May.
