Web Animation Watch: Batman Versus The Terminator

One of our missions here on AFA is to bring to your attention some of the best in web animation. We're not going to review them (more often than not they're a couple of minutes long at the most) but we'll be highlighting some of the best.

Considering we live in a world where mash-ups are De rigour and even Scooby Doo has met Batman, it's surprising that it's taken this long for someone to put Batman and the Terminator together. The clash of these two pop culture titans comes in the form of a fan animation from a talented gent named Mitchell Hammond, based on an original concept from Tony Guerrero. Short it may be but it's more entertaining than the last two proper Terminator movies at least.

The official synopsis from YouTube:

30 years have passed since Bruce Wayne survived Skynet's nuclear blasts in August of '97. Iron demons now roam the planet, and without the requirement to defend the innocent against crime and injustice, Wayne has seeked [SIC] refuge in the bomb shelter that saved his life; the Batcave.

Having scavenged the wasteland for resources, he discovers the radio of a dead soldier. There is static over a frequency. Flesh and blood is rising up to the west. With The Stinger; a riot control vehicular unit built before the apocalypse along with a refitted bomb blast vest, Batman makes his way across what remains of the United States to join forces with the man determined to neutralize the electronic menace - John Conner.
