Web Animation Watch: New Bee and PuppyCat, Simon's Cat, Spider-man and more!

Advances in technology and the spread of the internet has made it easier than ever for animators to get their stuff out there. This also means it's easier than ever for the good stuff to get lost in the crowd. How do you know what's worth watching? That's where we come in! Welcome back to Web Animation Watch.

We may well have the strongest line-up for any WAW to date this week: starting with the much-anticipated return of Bee And PuppyCat.  Following the successful Kickstarter campaign the series from Cartoon Hangover and Nashasha Allegri returns for the first of nine brand new episodes. Cartoon Hangover even ran a 24 hour live-stream in the run-up to the première! The first two episodes "Food" and "Farmer" are up now, and do not disappoint. Surreal, charming, and rather lovely, the new episodes are worth the wait.

This week the Simon' Cat team announced that work had begun on their Off To the Vets short! We may have to wait until next year to see it, but plenty of their usual old-style (shorter) shorts will keep us going in the meantime. The latest- Let Me Out- arrived this week, and is a lovely variation on their early classic Let me In. Genius, as ever!

We loved the last episode of Mashed's The Science Of Powers Ups, written by Eddie Bowley and animated by the super-talented KrEid. So the latest episode was a must watch for us!

This site may be called Animation For Adults but it doesn't mean we're particularly grown-up. So, we have to admit Weebl's latest little tune (inspired by cosplayers at conventions apparently) made us giggle, rather a lot...

Are you a web animator who's produced something you'd like to see in a future Web Animation Watch? Drop us a line.
