The Second 'Zootopia' Trailer Arrives

Disney's Zootopia ( aka Zootropolis in the UK) will hit cinemas next March. So far, we've seen relatively little from the film, with only a few details, posters and a teaser trailer released up until now. The second trailer has now arrived at last- and this time we (presumably) see our first footage from the film itself.

The trailer actually takes a similar tactic to some other recent Disney and Pixar trailers (such as Finding Dory) that are essentially just clips from the film rather than a more traditional trailer format. It's quite an effective way of doing things as it gives you a good idea of what the film looks like and what the tone will be, without actually giving too much away about the rest of the plot.

It also crucially gives us a sense of the film's style of humour. In this scene, we are introduced to the lead characters Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde and get a sense of how their dynamic will play out. Judy's manic energy and enthusiasm is clear straight away, while her bushy tailed partner is clearly more of a cool customer.

Front and centre here though are the sloths- with their distinctly sedate talking patterns providing much of the trailer's laughs. Zootopia is clearly going to have a lot of fun with animal stereotypes (and probably challenge them at other times). This trailer will definitely give you a good indicator if this film is going to be for you. We don't know about you, but we're loving it so far. Check out the trailer below.

Zootopia will be released in cinemas on March 4th 2016 in the US and will open in the United Kingdom a little later on March 25th.
