'Miss Hokusai' Opens In UK Cinemas

Miss Hokusai is a biographical drama centred around the life of O-Ei, the daughter of the renowned Japanese artist  Katsushika Hokusai- best known around the world for The Great Wave.  Set in the 19th century, Production IG's feature has picked up numerous awards including plaudits at Annecy, and the Satoshi Kon award for Best Animated Feature at the Fantasia festival in Montreal. It has also recently been nominated for Animation of the Year at the Japanese Academy Awards.

Miss Hokusai is arriving in the United Kingdom courtesy of Anime Limited. Following screenings at last year's Scotland Loves Anime, the film will be touring UK Cinemas from February 5th as part of the Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2016.  The Full list of screenings is below- see links for more details.

Miss Hokusai will be released on Blu-ray and DVD in the UK by Anime Limited later in the year. No plans have been announced for a US release at this time.
