'Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F' Coming To The US This Year

Well, that didn't take long. We didn't expect the 2015 Dragon Ball Z movie Resurrection F to take two years to reach the English-speaking world- as was the case with the previous film Battle Of Gods. However, in a pleasing development US distributor FUNimation has announced they have the rights to the film ahead even of it's opening in Japan.

The new film will feature the return of big bad Frieza in a new story devised by original creator Akira Toriyama. FUNimation will release the film in dubbed form in cinemas across the United States sometime this summer. We'd then expect a home release to follow at the end of the year, or early 2016.

That's not all though. American based fans will have the chance to see it even sooner than that, as Resurrection F will be receiving it's official World Première in LA next month. This is quite a coup for the US company to pull off (although in reality there will be some special screenings in Japan beforehand). The screening will take place at the Egyptian Theatre in Los Angeles on April 11th. The film will be screening in Japanese with subtitles and tickets will be extremely limited.

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F will be released in Japan on April 18th.
