'My Life As A Zucchini' English Trailer and US Screenings Revealed (UPDATED)

The wait is nearly over for animation fans in the US who have been dying to see the acclaimed Franco-Swiss stop-motion feature My Life As A Zucchini  (aka My Life As A Courgette). Claude Barras's film will make its US debut at this month's Sundance Film Festival in Utah, before opening in select cinemas from GKIDS on February 24th. The film will also open the New York International Children's Film Festival.

Although subtitled trailers had already been released, the new trailer gives us our first look at the brand-new English language version.  The dub will feature the voice talents of Will Forte, Nick Offerman, Ellen Page and Amy Sedaris. As you'll see in the trailer, the casting of Offerman seems particularly apt.True to the original language version (which will also screen in select locations) the key child roles will be played by age-appropriate actors.

The film follows a young boy, nicknamed Zucchini (Courgette in the original) who moves to a foster home following the sudden death of his mother. With the help of his new friends and a kindly policeman called Raymond, he is eventually able to search for a new family of his own.

The current list of screenings is below, but expect more to be added in the coming weeks. Via the film's official site
