DuckTales Reboot Official Trailer Arrives

With the return of Scrooge McDuck and his wacky adventures just over the horizon, Disney XD have finally released the first look at this highly anticipated reboot.

The promotional material surrounding the new DuckTales series has been spaced out extremely well. From teasers toting the series classic theme song, to promotional artwork to introduce fans to the new character designs, there has been plenty of material to keep fans interested.

It is here, however, where everything finally comes together.

Right off the bat, the trailer hits you with its wry sense of humor. As well as introducing (or reintroducing) Scrooge McDuck as the self-made trillionaire with an adventurous spirit. It also gives us glimpses into the family dynamic that will play out between Scrooge, Donald Duck, and the nephews (Huey, Duey, and Louie).

Speaking of the nephews (voiced by Danny Pudi, Ben Schwartz, and Bobby Moynihan respectively), their character designs and voice direction seem to hint that the triplets are possibly a bit older than their previous incarnations. The same goes for Webby (voiced by Kate Micucci) who is shown to be a big fan of Donald Duck. Given the hints found in the promotional poster, it also seems Donald will have quite a bit of involvement in the series (being an adventurer in his own right).

But most importantly, the trailer promises all the hi-flying, deep diving, treasure finding adventures that made the original cartoon so special. Drop in some Scrooge lines (courtesy of David Tennant), with a few playful jokes with fan favorite character Launchpad, and you have a trailer that should give fans a great taste test on what to expect when the show premieres later this year.
