Celebration of Bambi's 75th Anniversary poised to begin on May 15th

Bambi has always considered to be one of the best animated films in Disney's history, and for good reason. From hand painted backgrounds to lovingly crafted drawings brought to life. Depicting the life of a young deer as he grows into adulthood, with both the charm and danger that comes with it. A film that dared to not only give its audience cute animal antics but also a great deal of quiet, somber moments. Moments that continue to echo within all those who have watched it. Whether they be young or old.

And even after 75 years, the film has not lost its magic.

To celebrate Disney's Bambi 75th Anniversary, the Academy will be presenting a special screening of the film. Special guests for the screening will include: Donnie Dunagan (the voice of young Bambi), Peter Behn (Young Thumper), Andreas Deja (Animator and Disney Legend), and Paul Felix (Production designer at Walt Disney Animation Studios), Along with the screening, there will be a special tribute to Bambi artist Tyrus Wong.

The event will be held on May 15th 2017, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theatre in Beverly Hills.

Tickets are $3.00 - $5.00 to the general public/free for Academy members.

(UPDATE:) At this time, Tickets have been SOLD OUT, but will still be a stand-by line at the theatre's western doors. Numbers will be given out to guests lining up starting at 5:30 pm. The number of stand by tickets (if any) will be determined before the start of the program.
