Cardiff Animation Festival Now Open For Submissions

Next year, the team behind Cardiff Animation Nights will be hosting the first iteration of  Cardiff Animation Festival. After running a dedicated strand as part of the last couple of years' Cardiff Independent Film Festivals the team will be organising a three-day event in April 2018. And now the submissions for the first CAF are officially open.

The categories are International Animated Shorts,  Animated Student Shorts, Welsh Shorts, Micro Animated Shorts (running two minutes or less) and Young Animated Shorts (produced by young people aged 16 or under).

The festival will take place April 20-22 2018 at Chapter, Cardiff. "CAF will showcase some of the best animation from all over the world, with a broad selection of animated short films, features, masterclasses, workshops, filmmaker Q+As, industry panels, networking events and parties."

The deadline for submissions is Friday, January 12, 2018. A discounted early-bird submission rate is available until October 13. For full submission requirements and to enter your film head over to this page.
