Aardman and Paypal Launch Charity Turkey Dash

Christmas is one of the busiest times of year for charity, as people often choose the festive season as a time to help out those in need. With the big day less than a month away, a new charity campaign has been launched- and Aardman Animations are involved!

It's called the Paypal Charity Turkey Dash and it's a collaboration between the UK's leading animation studio, Paypal and Channel 4. Aardman have created eight turkeys, with each one representing a different UK charity. The general public can choose to 'train' the turkey of their choice by donating to the charity (via Paypal). At the end of the campaign, the donations will be added up. "The more you donate, the faster they dash".

Then on December 15, during Jaimie and Jimmy's Friday Night Feast at 8 PM on Channel 4, the "race" will be shown, and the winning turkey will zoom to victory.

This is such a fun idea, and it's brought to life with that unique Aardman charm (and of course, Turkey related puns). And for a series of worthy causes too! The represented charities are:

• The Royal British Legion
• The LGBT Foundation
• The Blue Cross
•  Save The Children
•  Clic Sargent (Young Lives Vs Cancer)
•  Sue Ryder
•  RNLI
•  The Mental Health Foundation

Aardman have produced a number of videos to promote the event, and you can see some of them below. Visit the website for more information and to support your favourite charity (or turkey). And if you're in the UK don't forget to tune in on December 15!
