The AFA Podcast 96: Mary and The Witch's Flower

The long awaited US release of Mary and The Witch's Flower from Studio Ponoc has finally arrived and Team AFA is more than ready to discuss the film's highs and lows. Also, joining this week's discussion is Gino Balton Abello, host of the ANNY Animator Interview series!

In the news this week we discuss the nominations for the upcoming Academy Awards for best Animated Feature and Short film (0:03). We then discuss the trailer for the Bilal: A New Breed of Hero (0:18) before finishing with an overview of the international debut of Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms at the upcoming Glasglow Film Festival.

Finally, we grab our broomsticks and begin the film discussion (0:35) with spoiler talk kicking off around (1:11).

Wrapping up the with a short anime themed Watercooler (1:52) discussing: In this Corner of the World, Dragon Ball Super, Pop Team Epic, and My Hero Academia.
