Wizard World Comic Con in Columbus, Ohio: Introduction to Awesomeness

All I can say is…

Once the song “Heathens” from Suicide Squad starts playing, you know you’re in for a rockin’ nerdy thrill ride of epic proportions.

After the first thundering note, the gates opened, and the Columbus Wizard World Comic Con 2018 officially began. While there, AFA correspondent Ali Cat Harris and her loyal cameraman Jacque met a variety of amazing artists and witnessed some insanely bizarre concoctions of freaky fab imaginations. Picture a place where all your comic book heroes, antiheroes, time jumpers, and mythical creatures all come to life for three whole days. This is the best way for us to describe the Wizard Con experience for you.

For the whole event on Friday, June 8, 2018, Ali and Jacque explored all the insanity Wizard World had to offer. Here’s what they witnessed:

Renowned comic book ink artist Mostafa Moussa was a superheroic presence at this year's event.
Some awesome creators at Artist’s Alley also shined brightly in the sea of adventure.

As part of AFA’s coverage, Ali Cat had the amazing opportunity to interview two very cool guys who have made a huge impact on the fan community.

Daniel Logan
has played the character Boba Fett multiple times in Star Wars projects, and he took some time to share his experiences with the Force. Plus, Ali Cat walked in the shoes of the Mandalorian people as the Fett helmet was placed on her head. How awesome is that?

Then it was off to the City of Demons. Matt Ryan stopped by to provide an inside look at the world of DC Comics and video games. We all know Matt for his iconic role as Constantine. But did you know he played Edward Kenway in Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag?

Ali Cat went to a Galaxy Far, Far Away with Daniel Logan, a.k.a. Boba Fett.

Ali Cat meet the master of magic himself, Matt Ryan (Constantine).
