Studio Ghibli Fest Returns in 2019

In 2017 GKIDS Films and Fathom Events teamed up to bring Studio Ghibli Fest to cinemas across the United States. The screening series gave audiences a rare chance to catch a selection of classics from Studio Ghibli's catalog on the big screen, as they were intended to be seen. After a successful run, the series returned for an even bigger run in 2018. It's now been announced that Ghili Fest will return in 2019 for another nine films between April and December of this year- and this year is expanding to Canada.

This year's screenings will feature a 15th Anniversary screening of Howl's Moving Castle, a 35th Anniversary screening of Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind and a 30th Anniversary screening of Kiki's Delivery Service.

Tickets will go on sale from March 7, through Fathom Events or Ghibli Fest. Tickets for Canadian screenings will be available via Cineplex. Weekday showings begin at 7.00 PM and Sunday Showings at 12.55 PM (local times).

GKIDS Co-Founder and President Eric Beckman said: "GKIDS is extremely proud to be bringing the beloved Studio Ghibli films back to the big screen with Fathom Events, so fans can discover and rejoice in these wonderful, iconic animated works throughout 2019!"
