'Promare' Comes To the UK and Ireland This November

Studio Trigger's first movie Promare has been doing fantastic business in the US,  proving popular enough to win an encore presentation later this year. Fans in the UK have been eagerly awaiting to hear when they would get a chance to see it for themselves. Now, following the film's UK premiere as part of Scotland Loves Anime, distributor Anime Limited have announced that the film will be coming to cinemas in the UK and Ireland this November.

Promare is directed by Hiroyuki Imaishi and written by Kazuki Nakashima, the duo who previously teamed up on Gurren Lagaan and Kill La Kill. Characters are designed by Shigeto Koyama, who is best known as the designer of Baymax for Disney's Big Hero 6. The soundtrack is composed by Kill La Kill's Hiroyuki Sawano.

Anime Limited describes the film's plot:

Thirty years has passed since the appearance of Burnish, a race of flame-wielding mutant beings, who destroyed half of the world with fire. When a new group of aggressive mutants calling themselves “Mad Burnish” appears, the epic battle between Galo Thymos, a new member of the anti-Burnish rescue team “Burning Rescue,” and Lio Fotia, the leader of “Mad Burnish” begins

The screenings will take place on November 26 (subtitled) and November 28 (English dubbed). Visit the website to find a screening near you and get your tickets.
