Out This Week: Hunter X Hunter, Emma, Gate, Sonic Boom and More

As we enter May, we're getting into the typically slow period for home entertainment releases that is the spring and summer months. It's reflected in this week's list which is decidedly on the light side. The UK has just one new animation release this week, the latest volume of anime action series Hunter X Hunter. The US list is not that much busier, either. Shonen Jump fave Bleach's debut release on Blu-Ray continues, and 2015 sci-fi fantasy Gate gets a new reissue. UK-set period romance anime Emma: A Victorian Romance also makes its debut on Blu-Ray, complete with a newly commissioned English dub. For video game-loving kids or for your inner child, there are new releases in the ever-popular Pokemon and Sonic franchises.
