Out This Week, Coraline, The Boxtrolls, Mortal Kombat Legends and More
As the end of summer approaches, we find ourselves with one of the busiest weeks in terms of animation new home releases that we have had for a while. The fight continues as the second of Warner Bros new series of Mortal Kombat R-rated animated movies arrives in both the US and the UK this week. Also, new this week in the UK is the standard Blu-Ray edition of Satoshi Kon's classic Paranoia Agent (a limited edition steelbook edition was released earlier this year). Stateside, the first two of Shout Factory's LAIKA Studios Collection arrive with Coraline and The Boxtrolls. Meanwhile, DreamWorks feature Spirited Untamed also arrives, which is a movie spin-off of the Spirited Riding Free TV series, which itself was a TV spin-off of the Spirit: Stallion Of The Cimarron movie. In anime, more old-school Lupin capers arrive with the Blu-Ray release of Lupin III: Part Three, otherwise known by fans as the 'pink jacket' adventures and Viking adventures in Studio Wit's historical drama Vinland Saga, making its disc debut.
