Close Enough, Scrat Tales, Attack On Titan: The Finale and More

There's never a dull moment in the world of animation streaming television. Join us once again for a round-up of the latest news and developments

Close Enough, the adult animated comedy from Regular Show creator JG Quintel returns to HBO Max for a third season on April 7.  In this series, Josh and Amy deal with more of the pitfalls of millennial life (with a surreal spin, naturally) in another eight brand new episodes. Check out the teaser, below.

Meanwhile, Adult Swim has picked up a second season of new show Teenage Euthanasia. Co-created by Alissa Nutting (Made for Love), and Emmy-nominated producer Alyson Levy (The Shivering Truth) the series centers on the family life of the Fantasy family who live in near-future Florida and run a funeral home named Tender Endings. The animation production is moving from Augenblick Studios to Atomic Cartoons for the second season, which is currently in production.

Netflix has dropped a trailer for the return of Polygon Pictures Pacific Rim: The Black, the anime series inspired by Guillermo del Toro's original movie. The trailer reveals the series will return with a brand new season on April 14.

Craig Of The Creek is back for two weeks of all-new episodes on Cartoon Network starting from April 11.  New episodes will air daily Monday to Friday and will be added to HBO Max's library the day after.  In the run-up to the new episodes, Cartoon Network will also be screening every Craig Episode Ever starting April 4.

HBO Max also has two new animated series joining later in the month: Dodo, from April 28 and Lamput from April 29:

Based on the multi-award-winning short film Not The End Of The World by British creator and series director Jack Bennett, Dodo depicts the drama and unwieldy memories every child experiences during middle school. The series is a funny, heartwarming portrayal of everyday school life following 11-year-old Joe Connolly as he navigates the pitfalls of his first year at high school. The smallest events mean big drama for Joe who is just trying to fit in. He may have lost his school trousers or sent a text message to the wrong girl, but with his friends Frisbo, Pete, and Lily at his side, he somehow triumphs over adversity and lives to see another school day.

Lamput, the hilarious animated chase comedy, will make its U.S. debut this month, streaming Friday, April 29, on HBO Max. The playful series follows Lamput, a gooey orange substance, as he escapes from a secret laboratory. Two scientists, Specs Doc and Skinny Doc, try their best to catch him but can’t quite pin down the master of disguise

There's something undoubtedly bittersweet about Scrat Tales, the new shorts featuring the true stat of the Ice Age movies. The controversial Ice Age Adventures Of Buck Wild was entirely Scrat free as Disney was engaged in a legal dispute over the rights to the character. It was subsequently solved, meaning that these shorts were the very last thing completed at Blue Sky Studios. Get a first look at the series in the trailer, below.

Crunchyroll have dropped a teaser for the final episode of Attack On Titan! The last episode of the final season will be simulcast on Crunchyroll and Funimation on April 4, with the English dubbed version set to premiere on May 1. Are you ready for the end?
