Annecy Reveals Shorts, Commissioned and TV Selection

There can be few more keenly anticipated events in the animation calendar than the Annecy International Animation Festival. Every summer animation professionals and enthusiasts gather in the Alpine French town to celebrate the best the medium has to offer. As we look ahead to this year's festival, the selection and line-up will be gradually revealed. First up are the shorts, TV films and Commissioned Films.

This year the festival received more than 3,200 submissions from 100 countries. The selected shorts across multiple categories come from countries including France, Japan, The United States, The United Kingdom, Mexico, Qatar, Canada, India and many more. The films are all in the running for the festival's prestigious Cristals.

TV films include 29 films including Chainsaw Man, Agent Elvis, Oni: Thunder God's Tale and Lloyd Of The Flies. The commissioned films consist of a selection of music videos, commercials and other promotional content.

This year's Annecy runs from June 11-17 and will shine the spotlight on Mexican animation.
