Frog and Toad- Apple Releases Official Trailer

Apple TV+
can't compete with the competition in terms of volume. But what it lacks in numbers it makes up for in prestige. This is true for animation too, with the streamer recently picking up an Oscar, BAFTA and multiple Annie Awards for The Boy, The Mole The Fox and The Horse (a co-production with the BBC).

In a similar vein comes the new series Frog and Toad based on the beloved Caldecott and Newbery award-winning books by Arnold Lobel. Apple TV+ have previewed the series in a brand new trailer and key art.

The series follows the thoroughly wholesome adventures of amphibian best friends Frog and Toad. Although they have a lot in common, they're also very different. The duo know that the secret to friendship is not only enjoying what you have in common but also celebrating what makes you unique.

The cast includes Nat Faxon and Kevin Michael Richardson as Frog and Toad with appearances by Ron Funches  Fortune Feimster, Cole Escola, Aparna Nancherla, John Hodgman, Yvette Nicole Brown, Stephen Tobolowsky,  Tom Kenny, Selene Luna, Margaret Cho and Betsy Sodaro.

The series is based on the four-book series published by Harper Collins between 1970 and 1979. Emmy Award-winner Rob Hoegee serves as showrunner and Titmouse produced the animation. Hogee is also an executive producer alongside Adrianne Lobel, Adam Lobel and Titmouse’s Chris Prynoski,  Shannon Prynoski, Antonio Canobbio, and Ben Kalina. The series is directed by Sarah Johnson and written by Ken Pontac.

Frog and Toad will be available streaming on Apple TV+ from April 28.
