Tiny Toons Looniversity Teaser Trailer Revealed

Fans of a certain vintage will remember Tiny Toons Adventures. Produced by one Steven Spielberg, the series ran between 1990 and 1995. It featured characters based on younger versions of the Loony Tunes, including Babs and Buster Bunny (no relation), Plucky Duck, and Hamton J Pig. It also featured appearances from the OG Looney Tunes in the role of faculty members of ACME Looniversity including Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig and Elmer Fudd.

Now, in the wake of the successful rebooting of Spielberg's second animated series Animaniacs, the Tiny Toons are getting rebooted for a new generation. Tiny Toons Looniversity will follow Babs and Buster and the rest of the Tiny Toons as they embark on their education at the looniest university in Acme Acres.

"The teaching staff have been getting laughs since 1933" as the classic theme tune said. In the remake Professor Bugs Bunny can be found teaching how to survive Wabbit Season in the Center for Visual Gags. Coach Foghorn Leghorn can be found teaching sports. And Granny is the Dean.

The teaser trailer takes the form of a promotional video for prospective students wanting to attend 'ACME Loo'. It's full of slapstick, visual gags and plenty of tomfoolery. Look out for appearances from original Looney Tunes including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Wile E. Coyote, Roadrunner and Tasmanian Devil.

Babs, Buster and Plucky get the most screentime but look out for blink-and-you'll-miss-it appearances from other Tiny Toons, Furball, Dizzy Devil, and Fifi. Will we see the return of characters such as Montana Max and Elymra? There also appears to be new characters but it remains to be seen how big a part they will play.

All our questions will be answered when Tiny Toons Looniversity arrives this autumn on Cartoon Network and Max. It's produced by Amblin Television in association with Warner Bros Animation.
