Hi-Dive Tease Their Anime Boston Line-Up

Every year there are dozens of anime conventions that take place around the world. Some of them are long established and can attract hundreds of thousands of fans. Anime Boston was established by the New England Anime Society in 2003 and returns for its latest edition from March 29- March 31 2024. The event attracted 29,849 fans in 2022.

Anime streaming site Hi-Dive, who are owned by AMC Networks, have revealed their program for the convention. They will showcase current top series as well as upcoming titles. Their program will include both panels and screenings including premieres of both Spring Simulcast shows and brand new English dubs.

Their schedule kicks off on Friday, March 29 with a pair of panels. The panels start with an English dub panel for the eagerly anticipated season 2 of [Oshi No Ko]. This will be followed by the Working In The Japanese Animation Industry panel with special guests Pony Canyon producer Yuki Watanabe and voice actor Hirose Yuya. Throughout the day, fans can choose between two screenings featuring the World Premiere of the English dub of The Vexations of a Shut-in Vampire Princess and the US premiere of Jellyfish Can’t Swim in the Night, the new series from Doga Kobo, the studio behind [Oshi No Ko].

Day two features the third and final Hi-Dive panel plus a pair of premiere screenings. The day kicks off with the North American premiere of Whisper Me a Love Song the Yuri romance from Cloud Hearts. Later on Japanese guests voice actor Hirose Yuya and Pony Canyon producer Yuki Watanabe return for a special Chained Soldier Q&A panel with fans. Bringing the day to an end are the World Premieres of the new English dubs of HELCK and The Most Heretical Last Boss Queen: From Villainess to Savior.

On the final day of the convention, Hi-Dive close out this year's Anime Boston with the North American premiere of Ya Boy Kongming! Road to Summer Sonia, the new compilation movie of the Ya Boy Kongming series.
