'Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba' Season 4 Comes To Crunchyroll This May


The biggest anime and manga franchises have featured the same names for many years. The likes of Dragon Ball, One Piece, Naruto/Boruto and Bleach have remained hugely popular. A small number of newer series have managed to break through and join this elite club. And perhaps the biggest of these is Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba.

Aniplex Of America and Crunchyroll have announced that Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba: Hashira Training Arc this May. The fourth season of the supernatural action series will stream on Crunchyroll as part of their existing Spring line-up. Crunchyroll will stream new episodes weekly, everywhere that the service is available, and exclusively in North America, South America and Europe.

The first episode of the new season was exclusively screened in cinemas as part of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training theatrical event. The film also featured the final episode of the third season and was screened around the world as part of a Demon Slayer 'world tour'. Fans in select cities including New York, Berlin, Mexico City, São Paulo, Paris and London, got to meet Japanese talent including Natsuki Hanae, the Japanese voice of Tanjiro Kamado, and Aniplex producer Yuma Takahashi.

Demon Slayer is based on the manga of the same name by Koyoharu Gotoge and published by Shueisha's Jump Comics in Japan and Viz Media in English. The series ran for 23 volumes and has over 150 million copies published. The Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba: Mugen Train film was released in 2020 and became the highest grossing film in Japanese history, surpassing Spirited Away, which has held that title since 2001.

The series follows Tanjiro Kamado a young man whose family is slaughtered by a demon. Only his beloved younger sister Nezuko survived, but she has been turned into a demon herself. Tanjiro resolves to join the Demon Slayer Corps in the hopes of finding a way to turn her human again. The anime premiered in 2019 with Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc. Following the release of the film, the second season consisting of the Mugen Train and Entertainment District arcs aired in 2021-2022. The Swordsmith Village arc aired in 2023. The series is produced by ufotable.

The members of the Demon Slayer Corps and their highest-ranking swordsmen, the Hashira. 

In preparation for the forthcoming final battle against Muzan Kibutsuji, the Hashira Training commences. While each carry faith and determination within their hearts, Tanjiro and the Hashira enter a new story.


Demon Slayer Kimetsu No Yaiba seasons 1-3 and the movie Mugen Train are available to stream on Crunchyroll. The Hashira Training Arc will be streaming weekly from Sunday, May 12. 2024.  The series will be available in Japanese with subtitles. Dubs in English, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, French, German, Italian,  Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu will be produced and released at a later date.
