Hi-Dive Expand Their Distribution

In the anime streaming space Sony's Crunchyroll and Netflix are definitely the market leaders. But there is another dedicated anime streaming service that gives consumers an alternative. Hi-Dive was born out of the ashes of The Anime Network and is owned and operated by Sentai Filmworks. Sentai  was subsequently acquired by AMC Networks, adding Hi-Dive to their portfolio of streaming services that also includes Shudder, Acorn TV and AMC+.

Hi-Dive have expanded their distribution across key international markets. The service is now available as a monthly ad-free add-on subscription on Amazon Prime Video Channels for prime members in the United Kingdom (£4.99), Canada ($8.99 CAD), Australia ($8.99 AUD) and New Zealand ($8.99 NZD).

The service is also available in each of these markets via the direct-to-consumer app, on iOS and Android devices and via desktop. Hi-Dive has additionally expanded its distribution in the United States, bringing the app to several CTV partners including Samsung, LG and Vizio. Subscribers across these platforms can enjoy access to Hi-Dive's growing and diverse library of anime series and films, from classic titles to the latest simulcasts including  Oshi no Ko, I Parry Everything!, The Eminence in Shadow, Ragna Crimson, Farming Life in Another World and The Dangers in My Heart.

"With English subs and dubs and episodic series, movies and more, HIDIVE delivers a full-tilt, genre-spanning anime experience with blockbusters, classics and underrated masterpieces by Japan’s leading and emerging producers," Hi-Dive says. Every month subscribers have access to the latest first-run simulcasts at or near the same time as their Japanese broadcast. They also have a program of dubs produced just weeks after the original broadcast.

Sentai Filmworks is a licensor, localiser and distributor of anime and official merchandise. As well as operating Hi-Dive, they distribute anime on Blu-Ray and DVD and occasionally theatrically, including Food Wars, Vampire Hunter D, Made in Abyss, Ninja Scroll, My Teenage Romantic Comedy Snafu and many more.
