The Bad Guys 2 New Trailer Drops.

The Bad Guys are back. The sequel to the hit original 2022 film is due this summer, after coming seemingly out of nowhere. And this time they've got company.

You may remember the first film ended with our troop of animal felons going straight. By the time the second movie rolls around they're still trying (very hard) to be good. With their reputations, it's not exactly easy. Their plans are soon derailed when they are hijacked into a high-stakes, globetrotting heist masterminded by a gang of all-female criminals The Bad Girls. But determined to prove to the world they're really good, they plot to sabotage their plan from the inside.

The Bad Guys films are based on the best-selling books by Aaron Blabey, which have seen sales rocket from 8 million copies sold to over 20 million since the first film's release in 2022.  The Bad Guys 2 sees the original star studded cast return led by Oscar-winner Sam Rockwell as Mr Wolf, Marc Maron as the safecracking Mr Snake, Craig Robinson as master-of-disguise Mr Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha and the multitalented Awkwafina as master-hacker Ms. Tarantula a.k.a. Webs.

Joining the cast as The Bad Girls is Oscar-nominee Danielle Brooks as gang-leader Kitty Kat, a dangerous snow leopard, Oscar-nominee Maria Bakalova as Pigtail, a brilliant Bulgarian wild boar engineer and Emmy-nominee Natasha Lyonne as Doom, a raven with a skill for deception.

Director Pierre Perifel and producer Damon Ross, are returning from the first film to reprise their roles. Also returning are Zazie Beetz as Governor Diane Foxington, Richard Ayoade as the adorable Professor Marmalade, Alex Borstein as Police Chief (now Commissioner) Misty Luggins and YouTube star Lilly Singh as reporter Tiffany Fluffit.

J.P. Sans, who served as head of character animation on the first film, is co-directing the sequel. Daniel Pemberton is returning to compose the score.

The Bad Guys 2 is in cinemas in the UK and Ireland from July 25 and in the United States from August 1.
