Hoppers Comes To Disney Plus This June

Pixar's fortunes have been decidedly mixed over the past few years. They've ranged from the billion-dollar success of Inside Out, to the failure of Lightyear and Elio. Luckily, this year's Hoppers was much more of a success, both with critics and audiences, taking in over $371,953,089 worldwide. And now the film is coming to Disney+ this June.

Hoppers follows 19-year-old animal lover Mabel, when she discovers groundbreaking technology that allows her to "hop" into ultra-realistic animal robots. Transferring her consciousness into a life-like beaver, she is able to enter the world of the animals and communicate with them. There she meets a whole cast of memorable and hilarious characters, including the charismatic beaver King George. When a new building project from the local humans threatens the whole habitat, Mabel must rally the animals and try to save the day.

Certified Fresh and Verified Hot by Rotten Tomatoes, and earning an 'A' CinemaScore, Hoppers is widely considered to be one of Pixar's best in a while. Certainly, it's one of their funniest, with a unique sense of humour that distinguishes it from their other films.

Hoppers is directed by We Bare Bears creator Daniel Chong, making his Pixar debut. Based on his success here, we doubt it'll be his last. The film is produced by Nicole Paradis Grindle, and features a score written by Mark Mothersbaugh. The screenplay is penned by Jesse Andrews.

Hoppers will stream exclusively on Disney+ from June 3. For those who still prefer their films on a shiny disc, the film is also released on Blu-Ray and 4K on June 2.
