Netflix's First Adult Animation "BoJack Horseman" Launches August

As competition in the streaming video market intensifies, original content is playing an ever bigger part of Netflix's plan for world domination. The streaming giant has found considerable success with high-quality original series such as House Of Cards and Orange Is The New Black. They have also turned to animation before with Dreamworks's Turbo Fast and exclusive series of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Now, however, they're dipping a toe into adult animation for the first time in the form of BoJack Horseman.

BoJack follows the "most beloved sitcom horse of the 90's... 20 years later". It follows the former start of (fictional) sitcom "Horsin' Around" as the hard-drinking has-been horse kicks around Hollywood "sometimes wearing colourful sweaters". The Netflix Original features Arrested Development's Will Arnett as BoJack, and also stars such other high-quality voice talent as Alison Brie, Aaron Paul and Patton Oswalt. The series will be available in all Netflix territories on August 22nd 2014.
