'A Silent Voice' UK Screenings For The Hard of Hearing Taking Place

A Silent Voice is an anime film that deals with the experiences of a deaf teenager. So, it's pretty appropriate that Anime Limited have announced that they will follow up the recent successful limited UK cinema release with special screenings for the Hard Of Hearing.

The film follows a teengage boy named Shoya wracked by guilt for bullying deaf classmate Shoko five years earlier. It is directed by Naoko Yamada, based on the manga by Yoshitoki Oima

The film was, of course, already subtitled, but it will screen with a special subtitle track that will also include full subtitles for sound effects and music. The screenings will take place at select Showcase Cinemas on Tuesday, May 16.

A Silent Voice will be available digitally on platforms via iTunes, Amazon and Playstation in the UK from May 22.
