GKIDS 'Ghibli Fest' Adds Extra Dates For Upcoming Films

This year GKIDS have teamed up with Fathom Events to make sure that more audiences in the United States got the chance see their favourite Hayao Miyazaki films on the big screen than ever before. With the first two screenings having proved to be a massive success, it has been announced that additional dates are now being added to the remaining films in the series.

Due to the overwhelming success of "My Neighbor Totoro" and "Kiki's Delivery Service," the first two titles in  STUDIO GHIBLI FEST 2017, GKIDS and Fathom Events announce a third screening date to all remaining titles in the series to continue to bring the best of anime to U.S. cinema audiences. The third show time added will be the English dubbed version of each event in the series.

The next film to screen will be Castle In The Sky, on August 27 and 28, and now with an additional dubbed screening on August 30. Each film is accompanied by GKIDS Minifest "an ongoing festival of award-winning short animated films from around the world."

Here's the remaining line-up of films:

• Castle In The Sky - August 27, 28, 30
• Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind - September 24, 25, 27
• Spirited Away - October 29, 30; November 1
• Howl's Moving Castle - November 26, 27, 29

Monday showings will be subtitled and shown at 7:00 p.m. local time.
Wednesday showings will be dubbed and shown at 7:00 p.m. local time.
