Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2018 Winners Announced

Are you fed up with Japanese animation being overlooked in awards season? Last year, The Crunchyroll Anime Awards were set up in an effort to counter that. The nominees in each category are selected by a panel of expert judges and then voted on by users of leading anime streaming site Crunchyroll.

The second ceremony took place over the weekend. Over 17 Categories, the big winners were the second season of My Hero Academia (taking seven awards, including Best Action), Made In Abyss (taking two including Anime Of The Year) and Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid (taking two including Best Comedy). Your Name took Best Film (despite being a 2016 film, its US release was not until 2017) and the best manga went to the critically acclaimed My Lesbian Experience With Loneliness.
