Animation Block Party Announces Opening Night Celebration

Animation Block Party is the biggest animation festival on the United States East Coast. Since 2004 it has brought together the best in independent, professional and student animation to an eager crowd of animation and film fans, in Brooklyn, New York.

This year's festival will run from July 26-29 and will celebrate the event's 15th anniversary. The opening night will kick off with an exclusive preview of the debut episode of two brand new animated shows from DreamWorks TV.

The evening will also feature Picture This!, described as the "only live animated comedy show". It will feature "the best comedians in New York having their jokes drawn live by artists from The Tonight Show and BoJack Horseman". If you're a fan of animation and live comedy, this sounds like something not to be missed.

The opening night will also feature a T-shirt launch from local lifestyle brand Brooklyn Cloth commissioned to celebrate the 15th festival.
