'Mirai' UK Sub and Dub Screenings Confirmed, Tickets Now On Sale

Following a triumphant debut at this year's Cannes Festival, Mamoru Hosoda's new animated feature Mirai has now opened in Japan.  Wider Western audiences won't have to wait too much longer to see it for themselves as the film is set to open in numerous countries before the year is out.

UK distributor Anime Limited have already announced a release date for November 2, 2018. Now they have confirmed that in addition to screenings on this date, there will be screenings on November 4. The screenings on the first date will be showing in Japanese with subtitles, and the second with an English dub. This is our first confirmation that a dub is being produced of the film.

The film will screen on 100 screens across the UK and Ireland. Tickets are now available.

Mirai follows a spoiled four-year-old named Kun, jealous of his new baby sister Mirai. However, when he somehow encounters an older version of his sister from the future, together they set off on an adventure through time and space.

The film will also be released in the US via GKIDS Films this autumn, and in Australia on August 23 by Madman.
