SDCC '20: Lower Decks, Wizards, Dallas and Robo, Hoops and More

San Diego Comic-Con At Home is now on, and has made the hottest event in the geek calendar more accessible than ever. Still, it's easy to miss all the exciting animation news coming out of the events, so your pals at AFA will round it up for you. No need to thank us, we're just nice like that. Here's the best from the first couple of days of the con.

The third series in Guillermo del Toro's Tales of Arcadia trilogy, Wizards has a first trailer and a nifty poster. The first season hits Netflix on August 7.

Also coming to Netflix in August is adult animated comedy Hoops from Ben Hoffman (Archer). Check out the first trailer here.

Get a first look at new Star Trek comedy Lower Decks in this first clip from the Star Trek Universe panel.

A second animated Star Trek series has been revealed- this time aimed at kids and airing on Nickelodeon. Check out the logo for Star Trek Prodigy. The series will focus on rule-breaking teens on an adventure on a derelict Starfleet ship.

Cartoon Network have released a trailer for upcoming TV Movie, Ben 10 Vs The Universe, which you can get a look at, here.

SYFY's unpronounceable adult animation block TZGZ has acquired sci-fi comedy Dallas and Robo. Originally made for the now-defunct YouTube Red, the 8 episode series features a foul-mouthed ex-stock-car racer (voiced by Kate Dennings) and her robot companion (voiced by John Cena) trying to make it in the cutthroat world of space-trucking.  The series is created by Mike Roberts with Matt Mariska and Andy Sipes as showrunners. Animation is produced by ShadowMachine.  Dallas and Robo airs on SyFy from August 8 at "midnight-ish."

Meanwhile, from Adult Swim Con (also on this weekend) comes the new release date announcement trailer for upcoming video game Samurai Jack: Battle Through Time!
