My Shadow Is Pink

A young boy is born with a pink shadow, that loves princesses, unicorns and other things that are "not for boys". In this very sweet, crowdfunded animation adapted from the picture book by Scott Stuart, he learns to dare to be different and have the courage to be true to himself. The film is most obviously read as a  child-friendly metaphor for the experiences facing trans youth, but it also works for embracing difference in all its forms.  If the end doesn't make you smile (or even well up a bit), you may have no soul.

Echoes

Explore the far reaches of the galaxy in this atmospheric sci-fi film produced by Martial Coulon. With a lone figure wandering unfamiliar worlds, this is full of some really stunning imagery that is reminiscent of 2001 or Wall. E, but with a tone of its own.

Mother

A mother and her young son find thesmelves in a dangerous situation during a regular day of foraging, forcing the mother to make a tough decision to protect her family. Arriving online after a sucessful festival run, Mother is a deeply affecting piece of work. Written and Directed by Gaurav Wakankar aka gwakanaka.

Rush ⎸YYZ

Canadian Rock Icons Rush feature in this stylish animated music video. Using a colour pallete of red, white and black and stylised comic-book like imagary it makes am eye-catching accompniment to this instrumental track.

One Jump Man vs Shaggy Ball Z Part 2

If you're a regular around these parts, then you must know how big fans we are of Mashed, the animation channel from the UK's Channel 4, They have a genius way of mahsing up your nerdy faves. including video games, animation, music, TV and movies in the most inspired way. In this new musical animation, they're even mashing up their own animations, and have created a crossover featuring the characters from two of their most popular videos Shaggy Ball Z and One Jump Man (aka Luigi) in a rap battle.  This is a sequel to an animation they released last summer, check it out here,
