Cowboy Bebop 25th Anniversary Edition Released This April

 


3, 2, 1... Let's Jam. 2023 marks the 25th Anniversary of the original release of anime classic Cowboy Bebop. To commemorate the occasion Crunchyroll have announced a new collector's edition Blu-Ray release of the series.

In case you've been living under a space rock for the past quarter of a century, the series follows the exploits of bounty hunter Spike Speigel and the crew of the spaceship Bebop. Fusing sci-fi with influences including westerns, film noir, kung fu and blaxploitation, the series is widely considered one of the best anime ever made. The series originally aired in Japan from April 3, 1998.

The new set comes housed in a special metallic collector's box and includes 5 art cards that can be swapped with the cover for a custom look. It also includes a never seen before new 25th Anniversary video that is exclusive to this edition. Additionally, it includes the extensive special features featured on the existing Funimation release of the series, including commentaries and behind-the-scenes featurettes.
