Netflix Trailers: Carol And The End Of The World, Hilda, Gundam: Requiem For Vengeance

Netflix
make so much content that barely a day goes by without the release of a new trailer. Here are a couple of new trailers released this week.

An adult animated comedy that has not been on our radar until now is Carol and The End Of The World. As the title suggests, it takes place in a world where a mysterious planet big enough to wipe out all life on Earth is on a collision course. We see events through the eyes of an Administrative Assistant named Carol. While most of the population embraces hedonism, Carol is quiet and always uncomfortable. Carol and The End Of The World is created and written by Dan Guterman (Rick and Morty, Community). It stars the voices of Martha Kelly, Bridget Everett, Beth Grant, Michael Chernus, Lawrence Pressman, Mel Rodriguez, Kimberly Hebert Gregory and more. Guest stars include Stephen Colbert, Alison Brie, LeVar Burton, Barkhad Abdi, Danny Pudi, Gillian Jacobs, Kurtwood Smith, Laurie Metcalf and Tim Heidecker.   The series looks set to be pretty unusual among adult animation, with a melancholy mood and a downbeat lead character. At the very least it looks like it could barely be more different than Rick and Morty. Carol And The End Of The World arrives on December 15.

It's been a long wait for fans of the charming adventure series Hilda, but the good news is that season three is nearly here. The sad news is that the third season will also be its last. There's no reason to suspect it won't go out on a high though. The trailer is full of the daring adventure, fantastical creatures and boundless creativity that has made the series such a success. Arrives on December 7.

Gundam is one of the most iconic franchises in Japan. The giant robot sci-fi has spanned numerous TV series, movies, video games and comics, since it first arrived more than 40 years ago. Now production studio Sunrise are teaming up with Netflix to bring us Gundam like you've never seen it before. Gundam: Requiem For Vengance is a fully 3D CGI anime. The series will consist of six 30-minute episodes and will focus on the European front of the One-Year-War that featured in the original 1979 Mobile Suit Gundam anime. The series is directed by Erasmus Brosdau and features Celia Massingham in the lead role. The animation is produced by Sunrise in association with Safe House, and is being produced entirely in Epic Games's Unreal Engine. Gavin Hignight penned the screenplay and Hignight and Naohiro Ogata are executive producers. Hiroaki Yura is producing. Manuel Augusto Dischinger Moura is the main character designer, and Kimitoshi Yamane is the mechanical design supervisor. No release date has been announced just yet.
