'Predator: Killer Of Killers' Trailer Lands

Predator is one of the biggest franchises in sci-fi. First appearing in 1987, and featuring one of the most iconic alien designs in the galaxy, it went on to spawn four sequels, two cross-overs with the Alien franchise, numerous comic books, novels and video games. Now it's about to get its first ever animated iteration in the form of anthology Predator: Killer Of Killers.

The most recent outing in the franchise was 2022's Prey, a prequel directed by Dan Trachtenberg. Set in 1719, it features a young First Nations woman, who is striving to prove herself as a hunter- but soon finds herself hunted by a Predator. It was announced that two new Predator movies would be released during 2025: one live-action and one animated. Trachtenberg would be returning to helm them both. The live-action film Predator: Badlands will be released later this year, and Killer Of Killers will be released on June 6, on hulu in the United States and Disney+ internationally.

Josh Wassung is co-director. It's directed by Micho Robert Rutare, from an original story by Trachtenberg and Rutare, based on characters created by John and James Thomas.  John Davis, Trachtenberg, Marc Toberoff, and Ben Rosenblatt are producing, with Lawrence Gordon, James E. Thomas, John C. Thomas, and Stefan Grube as executive producers. Animation production is by The Third Floor.

It features the voices of Lindsay LaVanchy, Louis Ozawa Changchien, Rick Gonzalez and Michael Biehn.

The film features three different segments with encounters with Predators taking place in different points of human history, revolving around three of the fiercest warriors who have ever lived. A Viking warrior guiding her young son on a bloody quest for revenge; a ninja in feudal Japan who turns against his samurai brother in a brutal battle for succession; and a World War II pilot who takes to the sky to investigate an otherworldly threat to the Allied cause.

The trailer boasts some impressive visuals, with animation reminiscent of Arcane- The Third Floor have done some good work here. There's plenty of what you would expect from a Predator movie too- atmospheric scares and grizzly violence. Combined with the novel settings, which should help keep things fresh, fans should be more than satisfied.

Predators: Killer Of Killers is produced by 20th Century Studios.
