Shaun The Sheep: The Beast Of Mossy Bottom Gets A Teaser Trailer

Just because Halloween is over, it doesn't mean the spooky fun has got to stop...  The geniuses at Aardman have recently unveiled the first teaser trailer for the third Shaun The Sheep Movie, The Beast Of Mossy Bottom, revealing a Halloween 2026 UK release date.

The film will be exclusively distributed by Sky in the UK, screening both in cinemas and on Sky Cinema and streaming on Now. The film's international partner is StudioCanal.

In the new film the residents of Mossy Bottom Farm are getting ready to celebrate Halloween, when the clumsy farmer destroys the flock's beloved pumpkin patch. Shaun dresses up as a mad scientist to try to save the day, but his latest creation quickly goes out of control. With the farmer missing, and rumours of a rampaging monster sighted in Mossingham. The scene is set for their biggest adventure yet.

In the teaser, Shaun and the flock are preparing their Pumpkins, when they are interrupted by what appears to be a mysterious creature...

The film will be written by Aardman veterans Mark Burton and Giles Pilbrow and directed by Steve Cox (The Flight Before Christmas) and Matthew Walker (Lloyd Of The Flies). Richard Beek is producer, and Nick Park, Peter Lord, Cara Shelly and Sarah Cox are executive producers.

Shaun The Sheep first appeared in the Wallace and Gromit short A Close Shave in 1995. He subsequently starred in his own, self-titled TV series, which has so far run for 190 episodes. He also featured in two TV specials, and two movies Shaun The Sheep Movie and Farmageddon. The wooly wonder has also launched a mountain of merchandise, video games and even a theme park in Japan.

Aardman tells audiences to expect "smashed pumpkins, wayward science, and a wild hairy beast on the loose in Mossy Bottom – all delivered with the Flock’s trademark joyous comedy.” Sound's like a hoot, and the only problem is we've got to wait a year to see it!
