UK Anime Update:'Dragon Ball Z Resurrection' F'', 'Attack On Titan', 'Gundam' and more

Last weekend saw the MCM Manchester Comic Con, probably the second biggest convention in the UK only to MCM's own London Event. The event saw UK anime distributors Manga Entertainment, Anime Limited and new kid on the block Animatsu announce their next wave of releases. These include some pretty big deals such as the latest Dragon Ball Z movie getting a UK cinema run, as well as the announcement that the live-action Attack On Titan Movies will be invading UK shores.


  • Manga Entertainment have acquired the movie Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection 'F'. The film will get a limited cinema release in September- so not to far behind the US release in August. 
  • Manga will also release the Naruto movie Naruto The Last later this year. They will also release the earlier Naruto movies Road to Ninja and Blood Prison- the latter on Blu-Ray for the first time.
  • Other Manga license announcements were Noragami (TBA), Danganronpa (November 9th), Coppelion (via Kaze, November 2nd), World Conquest Zvezda Plot (November 2nd) and Magi- The Kingdom Of Magic (TBA).
  • Animatsu will release both live-action Attack On Titan Movies. The first will screen in cinemas from October. They will also release the live-action movie Garms: The Last Druid from Ghost In The Shell director Mamoru Oshii later this year.
  • Animatsu's anime announcements were Bakamatsu Rock; Samurai Jam (October 19th) and Beyond the Boundary (2015 TBC), 
  • Anime Limited will release the classic original Mobile Suit Gundam TV series on Blu-ray. It will be released in two parts in October and November. The first part of Gundam Reconguista in G will get a subtitled only release in December.
  • Anime Limited will also release Blood Blockade Battlefront, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad (November) and Full Metal Panic! (2015 TBC), Outside the event, they also announced they will release Ping Pong The Animation.
  • Anime Limited's releases of Samurai Flamenco and Fuse: Memoirs of a Huntress are planned for November, with Gankutsuo; Count Of Monte Cristo and Letter To Momo scheduled for December. The eagerly awaited release of Vision Of Escaflowne is currently pencilled in for early 2016.
