'Rick and Morty' Season 3 Arrives July 30

It's been a long wait for the third season of Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland's Rick and Morty. The last episode of season 2 aired back in October 2015, and its fans have been being teased ever since. Adult Swim finally threw viewers (in the US at least) a bone back in April by releasing the first episode on April Fool's day. But still, fans were left to wonder just how long they would have to wait to get schwifty again.

In case you've been living in a different dimension, the series follows mad scientist Rick and his hapless grandson Rick, through a series of sci-fi adventures- taking in space travel, dimension hopping and more.

The wait it nearly over as Adult Swim have now finally confirmed that the show will return July 30. The news was revealed via the new trailer, which was released via Facebook, and can be found embedded below. Season 3 will run for 10 episodes.

As for the content of the trailer itself, it looks like it's pretty much business as usual.. or as usual as things get with Rick Sanchez around. Expect the show's unique mix of full-blooded sci-fi concepts, family strife and adult humour to continue much as before. And prepare for Pickle Rick to become a new icon.  "Only a show this smart can be this stupid", says the voice-over that rounds out the trailer.
