Watch This: 'Hazbin Hotel' Trailer
What would happen if the many denizens of Hell were given a second chance at redemption? Would any of the demons or lost souls even want another shot at getting into heaven? Charlie, born and raised as the Princess of Hell, is determined to give it a try. For the sake of giving her people a chance for a better afterlife, she dreams of opening a new rehabilitation program, the Hazbin Hotel. The only problem is, how is she going to get a single unrepentant demon through the front door, much less get them ready for Heaven? With the support of her devoted partner, Vaggie, the Hotel's first test subject, adult film star Angel Dust, and a mysterious benefactor known only as the 'Radio Demon' Charlie's dream may be closer than ever to becoming a reality.
Though the pilot episode of Hazbin Hotel is still in production, there is a lot to be excited about.
Series creator Vivienne Madrano (also known as Vivziepop), whose work you might have seen featured on our Web Animation Watch segments, is putting her all into this new production and it clearly shows. From the plethora of bizarre but charming character designs and animation that has so much energy that it practically leaps off the screen, it is incredible to see Madrano cut loose and fully animate a story that she has been planning for such a long time.
But as many independent animators know, creating and funding even a pilot episode is no easy task. Thankfully, Madrano has put together a fantastic team of artists, animators, and actors to help bring this series to life. Some of which include: Jesse J. Jones, Amy Heard, Lorenzo Estrada and Circe Bogart as just a few of the talented animators that are on staff for this pilot episode.
Though the pilot is not set to release until 2019, there is no denying that Hazbin Hotel is going to be an animated pilot worth waiting for.
