Out This Week: Neon Genesis Evangelion, Doomed Megalopolis, Miss Hokusai and More
Welcome to another edition of our new release round-up. Far and away the biggest title of the week is the 1995 sci-fi anime classic Neon Genesis Evangelion, which makes its long-awaited Blu-Ray and digital debut in the United States from GKIDS Films and Shout Factory. Pricier, more extravagant editions (including the Ultimate Edition) will also be released in the coming weeks.
Elsewhere, Production IG and Keiichi Hara's animated biography Miss Hokusai is available in the UK for the first time with an English dub. Old school anime horror OAV Doomed Megalopolis makes its HD debut for its 30th Anniversary. For a major change of pace the third movie outing for SpongeBob Square Pants, Sponge On The Run is available on Blu-Ray and DVD for the first time in the United Kingdom.
