'Rick and Morty' Season 6 Trailer Arrives

The days that Rick and Morty fans had to wait up to 18 months between seasons are now very much a thing of the past. Since creators Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon signed a massive deal for 70 more episodes we've been reliably getting a season per year. We're now only weeks away from the international premiere of season six on September 4 and Adult Swim has launched the new trailer.

It looks like little has changed since we last saw the cantankerous Rick and his hapless grandson Morty- and that just how fans like it. We see the family in various sticky situations, getting in confrontations with various aliens, robots and other Sci-fi hijinx. This trailer also features a lot of Summer in the heat of the action, which reflects the expanded role she has played in the past couple of seasons.

Perhaps reacting to the somewhat mixed reception season 5 got from fans, Roiland has been talking up the new season. The co-creator promises the new season is "more canonical" and says they're "finally back into the rhythm of Rick and Morty" and calls it "fucking amazing."

You'll get to see for yourself when the new season kicks off on September 4 at 11PM on Adult Swim.
